Chapter two, titled Stray, continues on from chapter one, and sees some interesting developments. I'm a sucker for romance, and the draw Wegg and Mr. Neighbor have towards each other is cute, but underscored by our knowledge that Mr. Neighbor is the Heartbreaker serial killer. This provides a sense of tension within this upcoming relationship.

Also hinted at is something about Wegg. Having already read this book, I'm aware of what it is, but I like the visual foreshadowing. Wegg is well aware of his condition, and is holding this secret tightly to his chest, so it seems both characters are hiding something.

We also get another song from Wegg, which Yugo uses to implement some groovy visuals. Yugo is a genius when it comes to these visuals, they are incredible. If you want a taste, Yugo made an animated trailer for the book, I recommend watching it. Wegg's character, a wandering vagabon with a musical flair, is fitting for the time period, that being the early 1970s.

This chapter does two more things, first off it itruduces Mr. Tillman, the mailman, and his suspician of Mr. Neighbor. Second off, Mr. Neighbor lets Wegg sleep at this place, which is nice, though concerning, especially with the ending impling some Mr. Neighbor is praying to some entity in a cultic ritual. Once again, Yugo implores the reader to read on.
